Usha Vance, wife of the Republican candidate for vice-president JD Vance, defended her husband’s 2021 statements about Democrats being like “childless cat ladies” who are “miserable at their own lives” after renewed criticism. He commented during an interview on Fox News regarding the scandal arising from these remarks, said as Vance became part of former President Donald Trump’s campaign.

She clarified that they were meant to point out the difficulties of parenting in America, not insult such individuals. “He made a quip to underscore a substantive point,” she said while regretting there was more emphasis placed on his choice of words than on what he meant. Additionally, Usha underlined that she does not believe in hurting those trying to create families and accepted valid reasons behind childbearing decisions.

In addition, it was during an interview with Tucker Carlson that JD Vance first made the controversial comments where he condemned great democrats like Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg for not having any kids. From this viewpoint criticism came from areas including Jennifer Aniston’s acting career and Whoopi Goldberg among others among other actors as well. Later the speaker explained he did not expect sarcasm from such expressions lamenting how people were paying attention instead of considering in-depth content of his speech.
