Sen. Mark Kelly’s VP Prospects in Question After X Posts Stir Speculation

So, like, Senator Mark Kelly, dude from Arizona, he made this post on social media teasing that he might not be Kamala Harris’ choice for vice president but then deleted it so fast and replaced it with another message that raised a lot of questions as Harris nears her final decision about who will be running mate.

On Sunday night, Kelly posted something on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying “In my life I served in the navy and NASA where missions always matter most. Now my mission is to serve people in Arizona.” But approximately after thirty minutes he deleted it.

Kelly was among three Democrats who were interviewed by Kamala Harris during her study within Vice Presidents; Kelly himself having become senator in 2020 was an ex-astronaut from the former U.S.A rag.

The other two were Democrat Josh Shapiro who is governor of Pennsylvania while Tim Walz heads Minnesota state.

Jacob Peters who is Kelly’s spokesperson argued that the post had been taken out of context and had nothing to do with Harris’ search for vice president Peters wrote on X saying that “an Arizona senator tweeting about being an Arizona senator is not news! Go back to your Sundays everybody!”

Later that day, Kelly made another post on X saying “When your country asks you to do something you always answer.” This might have been during his time as a sailor or astronaut or in Senate or even during visits overseas to American forces.

Kelly’s posts did not get a response from the Harris campaign.

Other probable vice presidential candidates are Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Kentucky’s Gov. Andy Beshear, and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

On Tuesday when she is in Philadelphia for a campaign rally with her running mate, Harris will officially announce who will take up the position of Vice President; this marks the beginning of a cross-country tour where she will be making further stops in other states. Once again, Harris’ campaign has resolved to inform its supporters via text message about her decision just like President Joe Biden did four years ago when he revealed that Kamala Harris would be his partner on the ballot.
